Tasting notes: Very fresh nose with aromas of white flowers and citrus fruit; extremely fresh palate with notes of lemon and flowers with a mineral and saline finish.
Winemaking Details: Fermentation is achieved under controlled temperature. No stirring of lees on this quality to reach a saline finish and liveliness
Additional information: Famous for its tall dark ’bottle-green’ design Picpoul is quickly becoming a must on every wine list. It is dry, crisp and really holds its own from seafood to chicken, aperitif to main. A great all-rounder with much finesse and minerailltiy.
Domaine Morin Langaran (remarkably created in 1330!) is located on a calcareous plateau covered with very small stones and fine sand. The vines face the morning sun and a dominant dry cold wind, which dries the soil. This lack of water is partially balanced by the sea sprays coming from the Bassin of Thau which allows for a very special terroir.
This particular grape, 100% Piquepoule is harvested at night to protect the aromas and freshness. Caroline Morin, winemaker extraordinaire, has produced a stunner!
